Privacy Policy
This policy describes what this website collects, why, and who else sees it. It is written to describe this site specifically, not a generic store.
What this site is
quicksbarbershop.com is a static website. The pages are plain HTML files. There is no login, no user account, and no database of visitors.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people view and where they came from — for example, Google, TikTok or Instagram. Taps on Book and review buttons are also sent to Google Analytics as events (which button, which barber and which page), and counted by our own link log, described below. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details under Google's own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We use it only to understand how the site is used. We do not sell anything about you to anyone. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Meta (Facebook) pixel
This site also runs the Meta pixel, a small script from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It tells Meta which pages were viewed, and Meta may link that visit to your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in. We use it to measure how many people reach the site from our Facebook and Instagram posts, and it can be used to show our posts or ads to people who have visited. Meta sets its own cookies (named _fbp) and handles this data under its own privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. You can control how Meta uses this in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
Card payments
Online card payment is not switched on yet. Until it is, you order by email or phone and pay at the shop or as we arrange with you. When it is switched on, payments will be handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Your card number never touches this website and we never see it, store it, or have access to it. When a payment completes, Stripe tells us the order amount, what was bought, and the delivery or collection choice, so we can fulfil it. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Booking
Booking is handled by Squire, a separate company, on its own website. When you tap a Book button you leave this site. Anything you enter there — your name, phone number, appointment — is held by Squire under its own terms, and Squire shares it with us so we can run your appointment, contact you about it and keep a record of your visits.
What we log when you tap a Book or review link, or arrive from one of our profiles
Book and review links, and the links in our social media and Google profiles, pass through this site before forwarding you on, so we can tell which of our own links people actually use. Each tap records: the time, which kind of link it was, which channel it came from, which barber was chosen, the page that referred you, your browser's user-agent string, the country your request came from, and where you were sent. We do not record your IP address and we do not set an identifier that follows you between visits. This log is kept by our web host, Vercel, on our behalf, for a short time (about a day). The same tap is also counted in Google Analytics, as described above.
What we log when you start a checkout
When you press checkout, our web host, Vercel, records a line so we can match the order to what was bought: the time, the Stripe checkout reference, the amount, the item codes, which channel brought you, whether you chose delivery or collection, and your country. This is written when the checkout page is opened, so it exists even if you do not finish paying. It holds no card details and no name or address.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies of its own and uses three browser storage keys. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga, and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart, and the Meta pixel sets _fbp (plus _fbc when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram link), both as described above. Neither runs on the order confirmation page.
- quicks.cart — kept in your own browser, so your basket survives a refresh. It never leaves your device except as the item codes and quantities sent to Stripe when you check out.
- quicks.src — kept for the browser session only, to record which channel brought you, so we can tell which link sold something.
- q-chairhint — kept for the browser session only, so the hint on the homepage chair shows once per visit instead of on every page load.
You can clear all of these at any time in your browser settings.
Fonts
Type is served by Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Nothing else about you is sent.
Email and phone
If you email or call us, we keep the message so we can answer it. We do not add you to a mailing list from it, and we do not run email marketing from this site.
Children
Children are welcome in the shop and we cut children's hair. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child online. If a child needs an appointment, a parent or guardian should make it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
- We are not running any advertising right now. If we do, it will only be through Meta or Google, using the pixel and analytics described above.
- We do not share your information except with the companies named above, and only so they can do the job they are named for.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below and we will do it, except for records we have to keep by law, such as sales and tax records. Details held by Squire, Google or Meta can also be managed directly with them.
Changes
If this policy changes we will replace it here. Because this is a static site, the published version is always the current one.
